Gas Furnace Safety

Check around the furnace area, and remove any flammable or combustible items in the area of the furnace. It is also a good idea to not store detergents or cleaning supplies near furnaces, as they can give off fumes and particulates that can cause accelerated corrosion to furnace parts, or may even be flammable. Gas furnaces can become a safety hazard if not properly maintained.
