The Gas Safe Register replaced the CORGI (Council for Registered Gas Installers) gas register in Great Britain on April 1st 2009. Basically it is the only official gas registration body for Great Britain including the Isle of Man. It was appointed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) with the intention to protect families and properties from dangerous gas works.
